Why I Wrote the Book

One day, while vacationing, on the beach, in the keys, I was contemplating what was my purpose in life and what my next steps were to be, in the second half of my life.

I recently read a book called “Halftime.” Bob Buford talks about the first half of your life being a life of success driven; the houses, the cars the planes the boats all materialistic things. The second half, he talked about going from a life of success to life of significance; what legacy you would leave behind.

So I started praying and asking God to reveal to me with the second half of my life would be, I’ve had such a great first half of my life. God revealed to me, in my spirit, I that was to put everything I’ve ever done in my life together.

I took an inventory I realized that I played drums in several bands and Drum Corps, and that I stated and sold businesses. I’ve been Drumming and doing business my whole life – I’ve been “Drumming Up Business.”

So I decided to write this book – I finally found my purpose, so I thought. I was going to motivate and inspire people through my experiences and wisdom in my life.
